CONTACT LENS TECHNICIAN - Specializes in fitting contact lenses for patients. Provides contact lens training and instruction on insertion, removal, care, cleaning and wear times, and following up with the patient to ensure contact lens comfort, health, and patient satisfaction.

FRAME STYLIST - Assists patients in selecting frames according to style and color coordinating frames with facial and eye measurements and optical prescription and following up with the patient to ensure eyeglass comfort and patient satisfaction. Sells optical goods such as prescription and, non-prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses.

OPTICIAN  - Designs, fits, and adapts lenses and frames utilizing written optical prescription. Analyzes prescription in conjunction with patients vocational and vocational visual requirements. Recommends specific lenses and frames for safety and efficiency. Measures patient's bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance and optical centers of the eyes using a millimeter rule and light reflex pupilometer. Prepares work order and instructions for grinding lenses and fabricating spectacles. Adjusts frames and lens position to fit patient by heating and shaping plastic and bending metal frames using pliers and hands. Instructs patient on adapting and wearing spectacles and procedures for their care. Mounts lenses in frames and following up with the patient to ensure comfort and patient satisfaction.

OPTOMETRIC ASSISTANTS - Performs various general office type duties to include but not limited to copying, faxing, email, answering questions, notifying patients, makes appointments, maintains patient records, telephone, filing, basic office organization and cleanliness.

PARAOPTOMETRISTS - Conducts patient preparation and data collection procedures utilizing diagnostic equipment.

VISION THERAPIST - Supports an individualized treatment prescribed for a patient in order to provide medically necessary treatment for diagnosed visual dysfunctions; prevents the development of certain visual problems; or enhance visual performance to meet defined needs of the patient. The systematic use of lenses, prisms, filters, occlusion and other appropriate materials, modalities, equipment and procedures is integral to optometric vision therapy as well as scheduled follow-ups with the patient, to ensure treatment success.
